Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice - Leadership at Liberty University. Her career in the field began at her local County Jail, followed by 16 years with the Michigan Department of Corrections, where she served as a Corrections Officer, Program Coordinator, and Probation/Parole Officer. She also gained experience working with the Wyoming Department of Corrections in Probation and Parole, and later served as the Chief Probation Officer in the Town of Smyrna, Tennessee. In her personal life, she stays busy with her family and traveling as much as possible.
