Summary:

The Trine University Department of Music seeks a skilled percussion educator to serve as a part-time instructor of marching percussion. Primary responsibilities of the position include running percussion music sectionals during regular rehearsals, teaching percussion-specific marching techniques, arranging percussion music as needed, maintaining percussion equipment, and managing percussion needs section during the semester. Instruction will occur on Trine University’s Angola campus. The fall 2023 semester appointment will primarily consist of band camp, rehearsals, and regular season home games, though specific schedule requirements will be determined between the director of music and the applicant.

Education:

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in music or relevant experience teaching marching percussion is required. Preference will be given to those with at least a master’s degree in music and experience as a percussion educator.
