Century Bank and Trust partners with Trine to provide learning opportunities to its team members

October 21, 2025

COLDWATER, Mich. — Keeping with its tradition of giving back and benefitting its local communities, Century Bank and Trust is partnering with Trine University to extend unique learning opportunities to its team members.

Trine is proud to offer this opportunity to a range of employers who have an interest in developing a stronger relationship with the university.

As part of the partnership, Trine University is offering the Century Bank and Trust team and team member spouses the opportunity to pursue undergraduate coursework at a reduced rate for TrineOnline degree programs.

If they complete degrees, their eligible dependent children who enroll at Trine’s Angola campus are eligible to receive the Legacy Award toward tuition expenses.

“Over our 141-year history, Trine University has proudly welcomed many students from the communities served by Century Bank and Trust, and we’re excited to partner with the bank to expand both our organizations’ impact,” said Earl D. Brooks II, Ph.D., Trine University president. “The individualized attention and career-focused academic programming we offer will allow Century Bank and Trust employees to provide better service while obtaining skills to achieve their professional goals.”

Trine University also has the capacity to design customized coursework, degree or certificate programs to fit Century Bank and Trust’s educational needs.

“Partnering with Trine University strengthens our commitment to community development — providing employees and their families with educational opportunities that not only advance personal growth but also build stronger futures for the communities we serve,” said Mashaun Schabloski, assistant vice president and marketing officer for Century Bank and Trust.

Century Bank and Trust’s employees will enjoy the advantages available to all TrineOnline students, including more than 200 courses that use Open Educational Resources, free application for admission, and free 24/7 online tutoring for enrolled students.

TrineOnline now offers 34 courses with industry-recognized certificates embedded in them that will prepare learners to take the certification exam after the course or earn the certification upon completion of the course.

Trine University personnel will guide Century Bank and Trust employees through the application process, provide an unofficial transfer credit evaluation, and allow the employees to transfer up to 90 credits into TrineOnline degree programs.

After enrollment, Trine’s program advisors will support Century Bank and Trust employees in staying on track for degree completion, including assisting with grant and scholarship opportunities. The firm is also provided access to business planning, product development and process improvement services through Innovation 1 at Trine University.

As an employer partner with Trine, Century Bank and Trust will have enhanced access to recruit Trine University students and graduates for internships and jobs, as well as the opportunity to speak on campus to student organizations.
