Education has been my dream profession since an early age. After earning my degree in elementary and special education, I began my career teaching second, third, and fourth grade students at area elementary schools. Inspired by a desire to broaden my impact on students and educators, I pursued a master's degree in Educational Leadership and became the Literacy and Title I Coordinator. Most recently, I served as an elementary principal for seven years. After more than 20 years in public education, I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the field by preparing the next generation of educators at Trine University.

Throughout my career, I have seen the powerful impact that strong relationships, high expectations, and student-centered approach can have on learning. Whether working with elementary students, supporting teachers, or partnering with families, I have always been passionate about helping others grow and reach their full potential. I enjoy helping future educators connect theory to practice while developing the confidence, skills, and leadership necessary to make a meaningful difference in the lives of their students.

When I am not on campus, you can often find me floating on the water with a good book or spending time with my family. My husband and I have been married for 27 years and have three children, Gavin, Whittney, and Aleigha, a daughter-in-law Kelsey, and a grandson, Miles. We enjoy living in the country on a small private lake, where we appreciate the opportunity to relax, connect with family, and enjoy the beauty of every season.
