Summary:
Adjunct faculty have the responsibility for providing instruction in the ASN program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for creating a positive learning environment that prepares students for the complexities of today’s workplace
- Promote intellectual and personal development through personally focused learning opportunities, preparing students to succeed, lead and serve
- Perform duties including, but not limited to, the instruction and education of students
- Support student recruitment and retention efforts
- Work collegially with administrators and fellow Educators.
- Contribute to the development, review, and revision of program policies
Qualifications:
Required:
- Registered Nurse with a minimum of three years practice experience
- Possess an active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license
- Possess a Master’s degree or higher in nursing (MSN)
- Demonstrated experience in nursing education
Other:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook; proficiency in Moodle is preferred
- To perform this job successfully, a candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills. The candidate will be able to adapt to new technology and have good time management, organization, and project management skills. Being detailed oriented is necessary.
