Trine interns relish opportunities at Zimmer Biomet
Trine University biomedical engineering majors completed internships with medical device giant Zimmer Biomet this past summer.

The Thunder Aces, the bridge team at Trine University, hosted more than 100 teams for the Trine University Sectional of the American Contract Bridge League, held Aug. 2-4 in the Keith E. Busse/Steel Dynamics Inc. Athletic and Recreation Center (ARC).
The event featured play for stratified open pairs, limited pairs and open stratified Swiss teams.
During team play on the last day, Trine students Cameron Orr, a master of business administration student from Angola, Indiana, Isaac Braun, a chemical engineering major from Portland, Indiana, and Treyton Sederstrom, an actuarial science major from Cedar Lake, Indiana, partnered with retiree Steve Brock from Auburn in the C flight.
The group won four of six matches against A, B and C flight teams, placing fourth in the A flight, second in the B flight and first in the C flight out of 15 teams.
“They beat teams with highly experienced players,” said Chet Pinkham, advisor for Trine University’s Bridge Club. “The first two teams the A flight have on the order of 10,000 master points. The three Trine students have less than 60 master points.”
