Trine University is now accepting applications from students who wish to enter its surgical technology program in fall 2027.
The application to the associate of applied science in surgical technology is free and is available at www.trine.edu/st. In addition to no application fee, there are no out-of-state tuition costs for students and financial aid is available to qualifying students.
Offered in an expanded hybrid format, Trine University’s surgical technology program offers the perfect blend of flexibility and hands-on learning. Students can complete online coursework from the convenience of home, while gaining valuable, in-person experience through immersive courses, lab sessions and clinical rotations.
The program prepares students for a career in the growing field of surgical technology and can be completed in as little as 17 months. Students receive significant clinical exposure beginning in their first semester and gain experience at multiple clinical sites, helping them build the skills and confidence needed to enter the workforce.
“We continue to see strong interest from students who are looking for career-focused programs that allow them to move quickly from the classroom into the workforce,” said Kim Bennett, vice president for enrollment management at Trine University. “Surgical technology provides students with a direct pathway into an important healthcare career, while Trine’s hybrid format gives them greater flexibility without sacrificing the hands-on experiences that are so critical to their preparation.”
Students also have opportunities to connect their education directly to the workplace through Trine’s partnerships with regional healthcare providers, providing additional pathways for clinical experience, professional mentorship and employment.
